Here you can find some tips that I have put together, enjoy!
LightingUsing the lighting means taking in where the most or least lighting is. If you want a bright lively shot face the sun but if you want a mysterious shot with your object having a silhouette type figure turn you back away from the light. Does that make sense? One example of this is: If you want a really pretty flower seem like it is bright and glowing, face the sun and maybe use a different perspective and the grid, it will help make your image stunning. Another example is: say you wanted a picture of a leaf, but you want it to be interesting, turn your back away from the sun and come in close. You will be casting a shadow and it will seem like it is in a very dark and mysterious place and time. You could also use the weather, it helps when you plan you trips to take pictures accordingly.
PerspectiveWhat does different perspective mean? It means moving yourself or the object around to see it a different way. This works on making photos look more meaningful and professional because you don't always have to look at this object straight on, you could look at it from under, over or/and using a grid. For example if you have a flower growing in the ground how would you use different perspective? Would you go over on top looking straight down or under having the flower and the sky in your photo? There are many ways on using different perspectives.
GridI would recommend using a grid because it helps you put focus on your image and keeps it where you want to be. The way to use this (if you are taking a picture of a single object) is by placing the object on the corners of the grid, let me explain what corners I am taking about. Do you see the square/rectangle that is in the very middle? If you do then the corners of that middle square/rectangle is kind of the area of where you want your object to go. The reason you want to do this is so you don's have ALL of your images right in the middle, if you have it on the corners the photograph will seem more effective and you will also being showing different angles of the photo.
